Description

A simple dry rub and an oven is all you need to make crispy oven-baked wings without the mess and added fatty calories that come with deep-frying. These golden oven-baked wings are so flavorful and easy to make. It’d be a crime to not include them in your gameday spread!

Ingredients

Scale

3 1/24 pounds (about 18 pieces) chicken wings (flats & drummettes)

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon cumin

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place chicken wings in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  3. Prepare spice mixture: In a small mixing bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Season the wings: Pour the spice mixture over the wings and using your hands with food-safe disposable gloves, mix the wings with the spice mixture until the wings are well coated.
  5. Spray your baking sheet with non-stick baking spray and place your wings in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  6. Cook the wings: Bake the wings at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  7. Using tongs, flip all of the wings over and cook for an additional 25 minutes. The wings are done when they have reached a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Remove from the oven and enjoy those flavors!
