Description
A simple dry rub and an oven is all you need to make crispy oven-baked wings without the mess and added fatty calories that come with deep-frying. These golden oven-baked wings are so flavorful and easy to make. It’d be a crime to not include them in your gameday spread!
Ingredients
3 1/2 – 4 pounds (about 18 pieces) chicken wings (flats & drummettes)
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Prepare your oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place chicken wings in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Prepare spice mixture: In a small mixing bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Season the wings: Pour the spice mixture over the wings and using your hands with food-safe disposable gloves, mix the wings with the spice mixture until the wings are well coated.
- Spray your baking sheet with non-stick baking spray and place your wings in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Cook the wings: Bake the wings at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
- Using tongs, flip all of the wings over and cook for an additional 25 minutes. The wings are done when they have reached a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from the oven and enjoy those flavors!
