This rich and silky smooth gluten-free gravy is guaranteed to level up all of your holiday favorites!

Gravy Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chicken soup base
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Ingredient Notes

  • Be sure to use low-sodium beef broth and unsalted butter. If you don’t, your gravy might be too salty. This also gives you the freedom to season the gravy exactly how you like. The Worcestershire sauce and the chicken soup base add sodium to the gravy.

Recipe Notes

  • For a thicker gravy, allow it to simmer a bit longer. The gravy will also thicken as it cools.
  • For a thinner gravy, add some more beef broth as it cooks and whisk well.

Equipment

  • 1 small mixing bowl
  • 1 small sauce pan
  • 1 whisk

How to Store and Reheat Gravy

  • To store the gravy for later use, allow it to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 7 days. Alternatively, you can freeze the gravy indefinitely.
  • To reheat gravy, place refrigerated or frozen gravy in a saucepan and warm over medium heat until heated through.

How to use this Gravy Recipe

This savory, gluten-free gravy goes well with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and so much more! It goes especially well with Better than Store-Bought (Homemade) Roast Beef.

The beauty of Flavor Ratios is that we blend flavor combinations according to OUR own preferences. All recipes you find on this site serve as a guide. Who am I, to limit the amount of onion powder you put in your gravy? That would be wrong, and honestly, it’d keep me awake at night knowing your side roast beef dinner could’ve been better!
